Lotro download dat files

Unfortunately when I finally get through the whole file download, I get hit with the message below and have no idea how to fix it. Through some googling I saw that you may have to manipulate files within the Program Files(x86) directory but I can't seem to find a /Turbine or /Lord of the Rings Online folder within that. Hey all, I know by now all of you have probably heard numerous accounts of this problem where when I install the game, I cannot actually play it because the game will freeze when updating files in the launcher.

And yet when I start the game client it keeps failing at CheckDatFiles failed ("Unable to decrypt and deserialize the data downloaded from the server") Neither firewall nor any kind EDIT: Stuck on 77% with checking DAT files Some people have this problem too, but I haven't found a solution for this. Thanks in advance! The Lord of the Rings Online™ It is a Valve/Steam thing that DOES NOT WORK for LOTRO. All it does is re-download the entire game and forces you to begin patching all over again. client_highres_aux_1.datx is a file which lotro must have as it contains extra textures which will no longer fit into the normal clienthighres dat file which has now grown over 4gb. if you delete the file lotro will attempt to redownload if the patching process hasnt completed or passed the datx downlad stage, if the file is missing you will experiece missing textures ingame

I know the game had an update on the 19th, did you download that update? Maybe the game is --rodat : Opens the DAT files readonly Grab the installer from http://www.ddo.com/en/game/download (Get the one that preloading of game files (or client_gamelogic.dat?) in the launcher's options.
